"Sampaguita" Riso Print

The sampaguita holds many powerful meanings for Filipinos. I created this illustration as a way to reflect on home, culture and faith. It is a process of layering colors that mix together to create a final print. As a result, each print is uniquely layered and have varying textures, imprints and details. That's what made me opt for a riso method than digitally printed. There is much more character and unique quality to each print.Coloring and line details may vary from print to print and not totally match what is pictured due to the riso printing method. This is not a mistake.
