QC'd 11/7/24 - Tested OK - In good fully functional working condition Vox introduced the VR Series amps in 2005. I spoke with a sales manager at Vox who explained the concept of the VR30R. Vox was already having considerable success with the AD30VT, introduced just a year earlier. The AD30VT used REMs modeling and effects circuitry along with a program patch memory in its preamp circuitry. It also featured a Vox "Valve Reactor" tube hybrid 30 watt output section. While the preamp circuitry in the AD30VT offered incredible flexibility in tone and effects, operating the control functions was a bit intimidating to some. Vox decided that they should introduce an amp that had a traditional knob based "what you see is what you get" front panel. This preamp would then be combined with the 30 watt Valve Reactor hybrid output circuit from the AD30VT. This combination of preamp and power amp became
