Student oboe reeds

Student reeds will be for sale as I make them. In-stock student reeds will ship in 1-7 days.  My A.Lakota student oboe reed is designed to be slightly less resistant than the professional reeds. To keep the reed from being too resistant I take a little more cane from the heart and leave the back slightly thicker to compensate for the pitch. The result leaves a fine-working reed but not quite as refined as other oboe reeds I make. The student oboe reeds are tied onto oboe staples with synthetic cork for easier insertion and removal from the oboe. A.Lakota student oboe reeds are a great playing alternative to other student reeds on the market. These student oboe reeds have been designed with my own students in mind after years of trial and error. These are the best oboe reeds for those players in their first few years on the instrument.
