The ADC-VC728PF is a great camera for recording area footage that is at a longer range than normal. Offering a varifocal lens that can be adjusted on the fly, it will allow you to zoom in almost up to 3x zoom with no drop in image quality. This camera works best when using at least the Alarm.com Pro Video with Analytics package, and can be easily added to an Alarm.com SVR as well. ADC-VC728PF Alarm.com Pro Series 4MP PoE Indoor / Outdoor Camera with Varifocal Lens The ADC-VC728PF is one of Alarm.com's Pro Series cameras for use in either indoor or outdoor environments. The main feature of the VC728PF is its motorized varifocal lens allowing you to zoom the camera's view in and out. The varifocal lens can be adjusted from 3.2mm up to 9.8mm, offering about 3x zoom. With it being a varifocal lens, zooming, thus changing the field of view does not affect image quality at all, giving you pristine clips or recorded footage even while zoomed in. The VC728PF supports video analytics as well,
