Turntable Tea Party - Nina Simone

For all the Nina Simone fans (and those about to be fans!)...If you weren't able to make it to our Nina Simone themed Turntable Tea Party, you can create your own listening party at home by enjoying our special release tea while listening to one of the two featured Nina Simone albums:  Nina Simone Sings the Blues or Pastel Blues Although Nina lived most of her life in the north of the US and in France, her music (she considered herself a folk musician) is deeply rooted in the emotions and feeling of life in the south during the civil rights movement. We created a hibiscus based iced tea, something we imagine drinking while sitting outside on a hot summer day, and added cinnamon and cayenne to represent her power and the way she spoke up and out for herself as a musician, as a woman, and as a Black person in America.
