This playful and sexy painting depicts abstract figures who have partied all night long. As the sun rises, their eyes and lips have slid off their faces and landed throughout the painting to represent the state they’re in. One anatomically incorrect arm dominates the scene as it reaches for a glass of champagne. Rich shades of purples, greens, blues, yellows, pinks and black and white create a stunning statement piece reminiscent of the iconic nightclub that opened in NYC in 1977. Clothes came off in the real Studio 54, as well as in my version. Sides have paint smudges, spillover, and artist notes. 48 x 60 x 1.5 Original contemporary painting, acrylic on canvas.
