This piece picks up where that dream left off, not just about reaching the mountain, but embracing all the messy steps in between. It’s about the evolution that unfolds along the way: the joyful moments, the challenging stretches, and the strange in-betweens where you’re no longer where you began, but not quite where you’re headed. My husband and I often walk together, and many of our best ideas, biggest dreams, and “what if” conversations have taken shape while out in nature. The painting draws from that rhythm of walking — the grounding calm, the quiet connection, and the way movement through the landscape mirrors movement through life.
