Ancán Silk Appliqué Placemats - Citrine

Delicate 100% silk placemats to dress up your tablescape. Sold in pairs. These placemats are handmade in Bihar, India with 100% naturally dyed silk.   Silk is hand-dyed with botanical dyes in Bhagalpur Bihar, then taken to a town 6 hours away, where they are then cut into shape and carefully hand-appliqued. Though silk is especially difficult to work with, it is beautifully airy and offers a luster we love. A time-consuming process, women make these in their homes. Each piece takes 1-2 days to complete. Pre-washed. We love them crinkled; iron out flat if a smoother look is preferred.  12 x 18” ~Sold by the pair~
