Dovetails with hand tools

The hand-cut dovetail joint is often considered the test of a woodworker's skill. It's also a pleasure to make! This workshop will guide participants through the process of cutting dovetails by hand while making a cherry box. Over this two-day class, you will work with dovetail saws, chisels, and a variety of marking tools. The best part about hand tool woodworking is that you can practice it at home in a small space with very few tools. Learn to cut, fit, and clean-up this amazing joint by hand, and get hooked on dovetails! All materials and equipment provided.
