6.25" Petty Knife

This Petty knife is made of 52100. I find this size knife very useful in the kitchen, it is one of my favorite knives and many find it less intimidating than a large chef knife. It is a great size for preparing a small family meal. This knife was belt finished, meaning all the finishing was done on the belt grinder with no hand sanding.  The handle dyed, stabilized Tiger Maple in a beautiful ocean blue green. The handle grain pattern gives a holographic, three dimensional look. This handle is a little thinner in girth which is good for small to medium hands, but still comfortable in larger hands. The handle was finished with multiple coats of a protective tung oil finish. The handle and blade were hand-rubbed with a mixture of purified mineral oil and beeswax.
