About the Patchwork Bow Design This design is a Yarn Embroidery Design created/digitized in 2025 by All Things Applique for use on your embroidery machine.  You will receive this design in both a bean stitch and wide zig zag stitch style.  Suggested Fonts and Products Our "yarn" designs have stops in place allowing you to stitch a section at a time.  The first step of this design is a placement stitch of the entire bow. The next steps of the design stitch the yarn in sections in a bean stitch or zig zag stitch for extra hold.  The machine will stop at each change in color allowing you more control and to place each yarn section at a time.  I like to use a little bit of spray adhesive on my yarn before placing it to help keep it in place.  Others have suggested using some temporary tape to help hold the yarn in place. The larger the design, the chunkier the yarn you can use.  If you stitch a smaller yarn design (5X7 or smaller) do not use super chunky yarn. For more tips and tricks, y
