Assam Organic Tea | Black Tea CERTIFIED KOSHER Origin: India Full-bodied, BOP (broken orange pekoe) black tea from Assam. Tezpur is an ancient town on the banks of the Brahmaputra River and is considered to be the cultural center of the Assamese culture. It also has a history as being a center for British tea culture with the influence of the "father of tea", Alexander Bruce who helped introduce the Assam tea leaf, camellia sinensis assamica, to England. This tea is a medium-sized black with gold tips evidence, has a distinctive pungency that makes it a favorite in black tea blends, and makes a bold, brisk self-drinking tea. Ingredients:  Pure Indian black tea Directions: Use 1 tsp. of tea per 8 oz cup. Steep at 212 F for 3-5 minutes or to your preferred taste.
