The entire peel for the fruit is put through steam distillation to product the oil. Lime oil's sweet, clean, citrus aroma blends well with Bergamot or other bright floral scents. When diffused, it's thought that the oil can clear your mind and encourage mental energy.  Unlike expressed lime oil, distilled carries a lesser risk of phototoxicity.  It has a fresher more vibrant aroma.
