Snowy Owl Art Print
The Snowy Owl, one of the largest owls in the world, is an ethereal creature found in the Arctic regions of North America and Eurasia. It is instantly recognizable by its brilliant white plumage, piercing yellow eyes and hooked beak. Remarkably adept at surviving the harsh, frigid conditions of the Arctic and subarctic regions where it makes its home, the Snowy Owl has developed several specialized adaptations, from its dense, insulating feathers to its wide, snowshoe-like feet that allow it to traverse the deep snow with ease. Snowy Owls have faced significant challenges and threats in recent years. Habitat loss and degradation, the impacts of climate change, and human disturbance have all contributed to the decline of Snowy Owl numbers as their preferred tundra and boreal forest habitats are increasingly threatened.
