Rosellas are vibrant, colorful parrots native to Australia and nearby islands, known for their striking plumage and playful behavior. These birds belong to the genus Platycercus and are characterized by their long tails and distinctive markings, which vary among the different species. Australia is home to one-sixth of the world’s parrot species. The continent’s geographic isolation allowed these intelligent birds to diversify into a vast array of species, able to adapt and thrive in a variety of different habitats in all parts of the country.
