      The Alpine Machine      These packs are  designed and built  for expeditions, HA alpine climbing or multiple seasons of guiding. Like all the packs built at Alpine Luddites, I expect this to hold up to 100's of days in use. These packs regularly go up Denali, Logan, The Himalaya, Karakoram and used by full time outdoor educators and guides. I have never had one come back. The hip belts are both taller and thicker than on the smaller alpine machine packs. for most customers the hip belt is custom fitted to your measurements. I build 60% of these big packs for women.  This customer skied from the summit of Denali with his AM 100L pack. I often say no 2 packs are ever alike. the custom order form is just a starting place to design your pack around. often bag proportions are adjusted to fit your actual body shape.
