Aquarium Conditioned-Purple Chalk Basslet

Aquarium Conditioned-Chalk Basslet, Serranus tortugarum. We are excited to offer Chalk Basslets. This is a small species reaching only 2-3 inches with maturity. The Chalk Basslet is native to the Caribbean. In the aquarium they will usually swim out in the open and also find an area in the rock work they like to hang out in. They are a shade of purple with iridescent blue vertical bands running vertical on their body. They are generally easy to pair up when adding two of them to the aquarium at the same time. These are sure to add personality to your aquarium and are very hardy and great beginner fish. Our Aquarium Conditioned fish are quarantined and observed at our aquaculture facility before offered for sale.
