Gulf Pipefish

This is for a single Gulf Pipefish. This species does great singly, paired or in a colony/group. Size: ~2.5-5+ inches Species: Syngnatus scovelli This is a Florida native pipefish species. They do well housed with our H. erectus seahorses as they naturally overlap in their distribution. They are very peaceful and can be kept singly, two or in a group together. They are a fairly active pipefish species and mostly hang out in the substrate but will swim in the open during feedings. This species will breed in captivity and we start our fry on Aretmia nauplii as a first food.  We are feeding them a mix of live enriched Artemia nauplii, enriched live adult size brine shrimp, frozen Spirulina brine shrimp, frozen Mysis shrimpand whole Hikari BioPure Mysis shrimp, and Calanus. When kept with our captive bred H. erectus seahorse they often will actively take frozen mysis shrimp exclusively.
