Teponaztli , is a percussion drum and a prehispanic Instrument used by the aztec civilization.

Teponaztli is an horizontal hollowed log which was beat in its top part split in the shape of an H. It was used by the natives such as the aztecs, mayas and nahuals in México. It is used now a days in Ceremonies such as the "Day of the Dead" Celebration among others. It is made of bambu, and wood. Each piece is unique. Approximate dimensions 15.5" x 3".
