Kenyan Soap from Pendo Naturals

We are thrilled to be the exclusive source of some very special soaps from Kenya! For the past several years we have been providing technical training and mentoring to a small soap making business called Pendo Naturals in Kenya (pendo is the Swahili word for love). The Lovin Soap Project generously assisted with funding for training and the initial capital investment. Pendo is located in the Kibera neighborhood of Nairobi. It is a vibrant community but challenged by poverty and a lack of business opportunities, particularly for women. The COVID pandemic has been difficult for Pendo as a majority of their retailers and markets are closed and tourism has ground to a halt. So, we decided to bring a selection of their products to the US. Every soap purchased makes a direct and positive impact on the lives of the women who own Pendo.
