Woven hot pad (trivet) and center piece with sun wheel

This unique design of a chambira palm fiber hot pad and center piece was designed by Bora artisan Lucila Flores from the village of Brillo Nuevo on the Ampiyacu River.  It features geometric design of a 4 pointed sun wheel surrounded by rings of orange, black and yellow colored with natural plant dyes.  Like all hand-made crafts, the exact design of this model varies a little from the photo depending on the artisan who wove it.    TP0860005 (regular); TP0860006 (large)
