LifeVac School Kit is a non-inserting and non-powered airway clearance apparatus designed for choking emergencies in school. It has a proprietary Airway Clearance Device (ACD) which frees airway obstruction from a choking victim when other conventional treatments have been applied without success. It features a proprietary one-way valve that stops air from forcing the object or food down. Suction removes obstructions from airways, allowing victims to breathe normally. In addition, it provides peace of mind with the emergency preparation necessary for an unforeseen event. The kit has four components – one Home kit and three EMS kits. The Home Kit is placed in the Principal's office, while the EMS Kits should be in the cafeteria, nurse's office, and PE instructor's office. Note: According to the manufacturer's general standards for the pediatric mask, a child must weigh no less than 22 pounds to fit correctly.
