This cartridge combines electrodes and batteries into a single unit, with a shelf life of four years. It is meant for single use and is suitable for children under eight years of age and weighing less than 55lb. The cartridge offers up to six hours of tracking or 30 shocks and lower energy for children going through a cardiac arrest. To operate, HeartSine AEDs must use the company's proprietary Pad-Pak® technology, which includes electrodes and batteries in a single cartridge.
