Steel Laboratory Casework  American Instrument Exchange stocks a wide range of painted steel base cabinets available in various widths and drawer/door configurations. Our casework is primarily constructed of painted steel which provides longevity and the durability needed when working in busy lab environment. Features Standard lab casework measures approximately 22” front to back and 35” high. (30” high or “desk height” casework may also be available. Please call or email for more info.) Epoxy work surface (sold separately) measures 1” high and approximately 30” front to back. Casework is typically installed with the rear about 6” from the wall. Work surface is then laid on top with a 1” or 2” overhang in the front and about a 6” overhang in the back. This allows for plumbing and wiring to be installed along walls behind the cabinetry.
