Overview This document provides the requirements for Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) certification, set out in Chapter II of the 1978 STCW Convention, as amended. It also includes corresponding sections of the STCW Code. The specifications described in this document have been developed by the Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).
