The father of bluegrass is Bill Monroe, so it was obvious to all of us that he would be the subject in this tribute. We chose some of the songs that shaped us as individuals and as a band, and recorded them remotely from our home studios - a process that has become all too familiar for us as we weather the COVID-19 pandemic, the band spread out around the country, and were unable to be together. So, we were able to honor the “Father of Bluegrass,” and stay connected musically, together/apart, for which we are grateful. A percentage of this album’s proceeds will be donated to the IBMA Bluegrass Scholarship Fund.
