Core values and ideologies of Conservatism have suffered irrefutable damage as a result of explicit and intentional bias that is prevalent in mainstream media outlets, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN. According to the Washington Post, just seven percent of journalists identify as conservative or as Republicans. This disparity has had an adverse impact on conservative principles, figures, and ideologies. During President Trump’s tenure in the White House, the mainstream media published an increasingly large number of false or erroneous stories pertaining to the president and his supporters. Some of the most prominent news stories, included the media’s reporting of actor Jussie Smollett’s hate crime hoax, the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and the vilification of the Covington Catholic students.
