Bonide Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous earth is interesting in that it kills insects by dehydrating them and then damaging their exoskeletons. The diatomaceous earth absorbs the insects oils and fats and then the insect dries out and dies.  Its sharp edges are abrasive, speeding up the process.
