Purple Fountain Weeping Beech Tree

Purple Fountain Beech or Fagus sylvatica 'Purple Fountain' Weeping Purple Beech Tree is a deciduous tree with a columnar and cascading shape. At maturity it can reach a height of 25’ but still only spread to 15’. It bears alternate, simple leaves which are 2”-4” long, with wavy margins. The leaves start out the summer with a nice purple color, though the intensity fades as the summer progresses. It is slow to leaf out in the spring. This cultivar is a sport of the larger Pendula Weeping Beech. Our Weeping Beech Trees are 2 Year trees; 1-2' tall.
