Black Ruby Plum Tree

The Black Ruby Plum is a large Japanese plum with dark red skin and yellow flesh that is well adapted to humid climates. It is a delightful freestone (not clingstone) plum. Firm, crunchy, very juicy, good flavor with a hint of tartness at the skin. Growing well in hardy zones 5-9, it is self-pollinating, but adding another pollinator nearby may increase the size of your crop. Pollinate with Methley Plum Trees. Mature height & width is 18-20'. Our plum trees are 3 year trees that our sold in 5 gallon lines and are approximately 5' tall and have a trunk of approximately 1".  Because fruit trees often require cross pollination, we offer our five gallon size fruit trees at a "buy two trees and get an additional 15% off" for customers enrolled in our rewards program (excluding fruit bearing cherry trees).
