After we uncap the frames to extract honey, we gather the wax cappings, which are the purest wax the bees produce. We then slow-render them here at our farm in Delano. This yellow to golden colored beeswax has a natural honey and bee scent perfect for homemade candles, salves, beeswax food wraps, and coating plastic foundations used for beekeeping. Pure beeswax has a melting point of approximately 160°F, noticeably higher than paraffin or most soy waxes. Consequently beeswax burns brighter and longer than any other candle wax.
