Resilience speaks to that quality of nature that brings strength and sanctuary, flexibility and freedom. These mixed-media figures explore the space between the make-believe and the real. Inspired by old dolls and marionettes, they are composed of white earthenware and have been individually stamped and textured. They are assembled with metal wire to allow articulation and a sense of potential. Various found and fabricated objects further establish their narrative identities.
