Beautiful sunny yellow cover with colorful rainbow and flowers motif, featuring the sun, moon, clouds, woods, and wildlife. In excellent vintage condition with normal shelf wear to covers and no folds, marks, or writing within. Ovsey was a famous poet born in 1908 in modern Ukraine. He studied at Kiev Art College and Kiev Institute of Art. He chose to write his poetry in Yiddish. His work was translated into Russian by other famous Soviet poets. Before the war, his books were published. Even then, his struggle against cosmopolitanism threatened his membership in the Association of Soviet Writers.
