"Frederick The Literate Cat" (Wysocki) Classic Bag, Ardleigh Elliott, 2007, New with Certificate of Authenticity

2007 Ardleigh Elliot classic faux leather and canvas bag with certificate of authenticity, numbered A04486. Features "Frederick the Literate" from the cat collection of painter Charles Wysocki (1928-2002). The front panel depicts a mackerel tabby napping on a shelf of books, which are delightfully re-titled after feline interests. Other features include two brass zipper pull charms with light patina. Each is heart-shaped and engraved with paw prints. There are four brass feet, cloth lining, and two-each zippered pouches and drop-in pockets. Straps and a zipper charm in original protective packing. Faux leather remains soft and supple. There is a small mark (approx. .5 cm), some minor working of the faux leather from storage, and a scuff along the bottom piping edge, as photographed.   Dimensions (cm): 38L x 13W x 27H. 1lb 6.8oz   scarcity rating: 3   SOLD.
