Founded in 1883 in Geneva, Alpina was an early pioneer in partnering with other brands - they led one of the first alliances of Swiss watchmakers dedicated to pushing quality and innovation to new heights. In the early 1900's, they expanded operations to Glashütte, the capital of German watchmaking, and reserved the Alpina name for only their highest grade movements and cases.
