Tudor Submariner Date
Tudor Subs offer a distinctive flavor of "The Same...But Completely Different!" Its watches were Rolexes in all but name: same Rolex Oyster case, same crowns, and Rolex crystals. The only difference was what beat inside the Oyster cases — Swiss ETA movements rather than movements that Rolex built in-house. We've long appreciated the subtle variations and the tremendous value proposition that Tudor offers when compared to their Rolex siblings. This particular Reference 79090 dates to circa 1992 and features a strong case, matte black dial with creamy Tritium indices and handset, a magnified acrylic crystal, a folded-link Oyster bracelet with Tudor-signed clasp, and of course the always-desirable classic Rolex Submariner proportions. Even at the north end of the value range for Tudor Submariners given its overall condition, this 79090 offers exceptional bang for the buck in the neo-vintage sports watch category. Don't miss it!
