Handmade Enamel Cloisonne Necklace "Spring and butterfly"

This very colorful necklace made in fine silver with glass enamel in cloisonne technique.  Vitreous enamel, also called porcelain enamel, it's when material made by fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing. The powder melts in the special kiln at 1500 degree F, flows, and then hardens to a smooth, durable vitreous coating. Don't be fooled with cold enamel (resin), which doesn't require firings in the kiln. This is large pendant. It is approximately 50 x 35 mm. Sterling silver chain is about 18" long.
