The Paul Tray

Named for Swiss-born artist Paul Klee, who wrote: “Art does not reproduce what we see. It makes us see. Art does not reproduce the visible; it makes visible.” Carved from a single block of stone, the Paul Tray is defined by its inlaid detailing—a meeting of contrasting stones that shifts tone and texture within the frame. At 11″ across, its square form and broad, scooped surface are scaled for serving fruit, staging objects, or resting as sculpture in their own right.
