Antique Genealogy Item #1048 1849 Early Cox Family Antique Bible: This old bible was printed in 1849 by The American Bible Society, New York. Between the Old and New Testament sections there are several pages dedicated to family records that lists Elijah Cox and Elizabeth Cox married Feb. 24, 1831, then continues to record the births and marriages of their offspring. Newark, NY is in Wayne and Tioga County. There is also a newspaper obituary of Mrs. Cox who died at the age of 71 years on Dec. 29, 1885 in Newark, New York. She had 7 children. It states that her children were all at her Newark, NY funeral, except one, a daughter who lives in Michigan. We assume this to be Elizabeth Cox, who married Elijah above. Reverend A.P.
