WAPSI FLY HEAD CEMENT

Details Wapsi Fly Tying Head Cement is a staple on every fly tyer's bench. Use a drop to seal the head on a standard dry fly or nymph pattern or build up glossy heads on classic salmon flies and streamers. Water Based Head Cement is a good alternative to solvent based cements. This product is very thin in viscosity, allowing it to penetrate thread and materials for a good bond. It comes ready to use, can be thinned with water, and is non-flammable. Water Based Head Cement dries fully overnight and will not dissolve in water after it has cured. This cement does not produce a "shiny" head on flies unless several thin coats are applied. Solvent Based Head Cements are great for building-up layers. These products are thin in viscosity and penetrate deeply into the thread and other tying materials. These come ready to use, but can also be thinned with fly head cement thinner.
