What does a skin specialist look for during a facial analysis? Our Esthetician will look at your skin under a bright light to determine multiple things.  She will be looking for the type of skin that you have (dry, oily, etc.) and if you have any problems (such as blackheads, dehydration, etc.). Throughout the analytical process, the professional will approach the face methodically, first looking at the overall skin, then focusing on specific areas, making sure to work around the entire face and neck. Touching the skin is also important, to feel for elasticity and texture. Skin can be normal, dry, oily, combination, acne-prone, or sensitive.
