The Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo had been on my bucket list for years. It's perhaps the world's quirkiest hotel; a real-life Barbie dreamhouse where everything is pink, and sparkly, and just plain fun. I pulled up, jumped out of my Jeep and donned my heart-shaped sunglasses.
