Size: 24-1/2”w x 31-1/2”h framed Illustration of Bronze Age archer dating to 2300 B.C. whose grave in the town of Amesbury in southwestern England near Stonehenge was first excavated by archeologists in 2002. The archer, buried at the time the first stones were erected at Stonehenge, is an accurate depiction based on the archeological evidence discovered. Commissioned for the article “Mystery Man of Stonehenge” by Richard Stone, published in Smithsonian magazine, August 2005. signed on the bottom right by the artist Note: Colors may vary slightly due to different color monitors and screen settings.
