Westmalle AleBelgian Dubbel Belgian Beer Kit Style: Belgian Dark Trappist Ale ABV: 6.1% Color: Brown There is a lot of variation in Belgian and Belgian-style Trappist ales.  Our Belgian Dubbel recipe is brown in color, and moderate in alcohol strength. This recipe is all about malt - lots of malt flavor and aroma with a touch of cognac on the palate from the addition of imported Belgian candi sugar (beet sugar) and raw kosher honey. There is little or no hop bitterness, and no hop aroma. This beer is good to drink right away, but it also ages very nicely into a surprisingly mellow beverage.     All our Beer Kits come in a variety of Formulations with two yeast styles and enough ingredients to make 5 Gallons. You can choose from Malt Extract with Steeping Grains, Partial Mash, and All-Grain. You also can choose between Dry and Liquid Yeast.
