Monuments: the Lincoln

Though very simple in line and structure this Monument was the most challenging. I knew wanted to bring nature in to help bring the image closer to the human experience. It would also bring additional interest to the composition. As with each of the four monuments I chose to include foliage that is found in the surrounding gardens. Holly with its wonderful twists and turns proved perfect for pairing with the Lincoln.
