Cast iron Salt & Pepper Shakers Mini Cauldron Potjie pot  These tiny potjie cauldrons are modified to serve as salt and pepper shakers – particularly suitable for Samhain use, but fun and useful throughout the year. The cast-iron pair are modeled after the spherical ribbed belly and three sturdy legs of the traditional potjie, but their lids have been modified: each lid is fused to the pot and drilled with four shaker holes around its central handle. One of the pair, of course, is labeled in raised letters “salt,” the other “pepper.” The hefty shakers measure approx. 3.25 inches high and 2.5 inches wide. Each holds approx. 5 ounces of salt or pepper. Their combined weight is a  approx 1.6 pounds. Arched handles run from the opposite sides of the lids and make for easy one-handed carrying.
