LEATHER GUITAR STRAP The Story Details Length Guide Haleakala Shortly after we took over Anthology Gear in November 2017, Tyler and I were sitting at a local restaurant on a Friday night and I sketched out an idea I had for a guitar strap design on a napkin. At that time, I already knew what we would call it - Haleakala - inspired by our visit to Maui where we watched the sun rise from the top of the island's volcano by the same name meaning “house of the sun”. That experience imprinted on me a new sense of hope: I held onto the idea that every day begins with a magnificent sunrise - no matter what precedes the day before - every day begins with hope. I also held onto that napkin and, early in 2023, decided I wanted to release this guitar strap before the year's end. Fast forward to August 2023 and our hearts were heavy for those devastated by the fires on Maui. We wanted to do what we could to help.
