Premium Greek yellow split peas, ideal for making 'fava', a smooth and nutritious puree of cooked yellow split peas that's very low in sodium and fat, enjoyed as an appetizer, or mezé. A nutritious food, full of fiber, protein and vitamins, fava is a versatile pulse that goes perfectly with seafood and vegetables, or enjoyed on its own as an appetizer, with lemon juice, olive oil and diced fresh onion.  Fava doesn't need presoaking, but can be cooked immediately and ready in 45 - 60' to produce a velvety, flavorful puree.
