1939 PARKER VACUMATIC GOLDEN PEARL SR MAXIMA STAR CLIP FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED
For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored 1939 Parker Vacumatic Senior Maxima Double Jewel Star Clip Fountain Pen in the Golden Pearl Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together, and now is in wonderful writing condition. NOTE: This Star Clip was Parker's attempt at a lifetime guarantee symbol, one that didn't last before being announced publicly, replaced by what we know as the Blue Diamond which was more prominent. This took place in late 1938. Also, well-known are Star Clips turn up on Vacs that never was intended to be a high line fountain pens, such as the Maxima. In theory, Parker had leftover Star Clips and since Parker made no public pronouncement about their significance (compared to the Blue Diamond clips, the Star Clips did not officially mean pens that had a lifetime warranty), Parker blew out leftovers on pens that would not receive the Blue Diamond Clip/Lifetime Warranty.
