For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Sheaffer Targa Classic Fountain Pen, Model 1003, with a Matte Black finish trimmed with 23K gold electroplate and 14K Stub Nib. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together, and now is in wonderful writing condition. This set was part of a purchase from a Stationary Store in Tennessee where I acquired nearly 50 New Old Stock Fountain, Rollerball, and Ballpoint Pens in the Targa design - this is just one set of them. This writing instrument is the older version Sheaffer Targa Classic Fountain Pen and is model number 1003 with production beginning in 1980 till 1988. The older version does not have the gold trim ring at the end of the barrel and this is how we can tell.
